As the year 2022 comes to a close, fans are already hyping up for the amazing games coming out the next year. The year 2023 looks very promising as some massive games such as The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Resident Evil 4, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and more are set to make their debut in the third year of the current decade.

Gamers all over the world are preparing themselves for the absolute Epic titles that will grace the gaming platforms in the near future. From Switch, Xbox and PlayStation to PC, every platform has something special in the store for the upcoming year. Here’s a list of some of the best and most hyped games for the year 2023.

10. Alan Wake II

Get ready to witness the unspeakable horrors once again as the much-awaited sequel to the original game is all set to release in the year 2023. Developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games Publishing, the game is riling up Horror fans all over the world.

According to the Epic Games website, Alan Wake II is “a survival horror game with an intense atmosphere and a twisted, layered, psychological story – it is the long-awaited sequel to Remedy Entertainment’s award-winning 2010 psychological thriller, Alan Wake, and 2021’s Alan Wake Remastered.” 

9. Stellar Blade

Initially revealed as “Project EVE” Stellar Blade had caught the eyes of stylized action games fans such as Bayonetta and Devil May Cry. The game gives an interesting twist to the genre by having a Sci-Fi setting, filled with an interesting lore and fascinating set pieces. The game was revealed in Sony’s September Showcase 2022.

 

It is being developed by Shift Up Corporation and is expected to be released in 2023. One thing that is set in stone is that Stellar Blade will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive. While this does leave some potential for a PC port, any Xbox, Nintendo, or even PlayStation 4 players will, unfortunately, miss out on this one.

8. Hogwarts Legacy

Ever since its announcement, the Potterheads are over the moon as they can’t wait to dive into the amazing world of J. K. Rowling’s timeless modern Classic Fantasy, The Harry Potter. Hogwarts Legacy is going to be a role-playing adventure. It has elements from novels and movies. The game is developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It will release on February 23, 2023. 

7. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

In the world of games, one of the most beloved and outright legendary titles is the seventh installment of the Final Fantasy series. That game was phenomenally good as it set a new standard in the genre with its amazing story and innovative gameplay.

So it was only obvious that the whole gaming community was overwhelmed with joy when it was announced that the legendary saga will have a part 2. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth continues the story from the 2020 remake. The release date is not yet confirmed, but it is reported to release in the winter of 2023.

6. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Sony PlayStation’s critically acclaimed game from Marvel Studios is finally getting its much-deserved sequel. The first game received an amazing reception, with great scores all over the board.

That’s why some huge expectations and hype are associated with the next part of the story, coming most probably in mid-2023.

Team Ninja’s newest game “Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty” is hyping fans all over the world. From its great visuals and art style inspired by Sekiro and the Ghost of Tsushima, Wo Long promises an amazing action adventure in a Dark Fantasy Three Kingdom world. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set for release on March 23, 2022.

4. Dead Space

The Sci-fi horror returns to give nightmares to every player brave enough to venture into the cold dark world of Dead Space. Dead Space 2023 is a remake of the original game that came out on October 14, 2008.

 

Dead Space is a survival horror game that immerses the players in a world of no hope and darkness as unspeakable horrors lurk in every corner to get a piece of the character’s flesh. This game will be one of the earliest releases of the next year as it is reported for an initial release date of January 27, 2023.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

After the phenomenal performance of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, on Nintendo Switch, the epic journey continues in the brand-new sequel Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Tears of the Kingdom have many aspects similar to the original game, such as the beloved open world map.

The Tears of the Kingdom is expected to delve into the mysterious and dark past of Zelda’s Kingdom Hyrule. The story of this game will also shed some light on the cycling rebirths of our heroes and the evil Ganon, destined to fight for eternity. Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will release on the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.

2. Resident Evil 4

The legendary zombie shooter returns to modern console gaming with the much-awaited remake of the fourth game of the Resident Evil Series. After being kidnapped by a cult, Leon Kennedy, star of Resident Evil 2, take on a dangerous mission to rescue the American President’s daughter.

The game is expected to bring Next-gen features while benign true to the OG RE4. It will release on March 24, as one of the earliest games of 2023, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.

1. Final Fantasy XVI

And finally, the most hyped game of 2023 is undoubtedly Final Fantasy XVI. The sixteenth install of the Final Fantasy franchise is a much-awaited release for countless fans and followers of the franchise.

Developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 5, this PS exclusive will bring a fresh take on the JRPG series. From 4K visuals, smooth FPS, and many other next-gen qualities, Final Fantasy XVI is all set to break records in the upcoming year. It is scheduled for a mid-2023 release.
