Top WWE Superstars Sport Fancy Tekken Inspired Gear At 2022’s First PPV

The worlds of professional wrestling and eSports have been inspiring each other for roughly the past 3 decades. This unusual partnership has produced many iconic moments over the years and has uplifted both entertainment products. At the tail end of the past decade, WWE also opened its doors for gaming and its roster to merge with one another.

This created even more happening livestream events, where superstars can actually be themselves and establish a better connection with the fans. Recently, referencing the popular gaming franchise Tekken, the promotion has draped its key superstars in Ricochet, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods in special attires in the first major PPV of 2022.

2022 has indeed begun with a bang for WWE fans

The opening PPV of the promotion just concluded, and fans saw some shocking outcomes that caught everyone off guard. Brock Lesnar once again became world champion, besting Big E in the process. However, superstars like Kofi, Woods and Ricochet have become a key highlight for the gaming industry. These superstars were seen in special costumes that were directly inspired by Tekken.

Starting with Ricochet’s special gear based roughly around Tekken’s protagonist, Jin Kazama. The outfit accurately depicted the flames on his trousers, hand gear, and more.

Meanwhile, King of the Ring winner, Xavier Woods and his hand Kofi Kingston also wore similar outfits. Starting with Woods, his outfit was directly based on Tekken’s very own King.

Meanwhile, Kofi carried the hybrid look based on characters from the fighting game franchise that showed off traces of a blend of multiple characters. That said, his look seemed quite similar to Bryan Fury from the game. Being hand to the king is not an easy job, and someone of Fury’s kickboxing pedigree can truly deem themselves worthy of the job.
