Esports organization 100 Thieves has faced a lot of criticism of late. Many are of the opinion that they are all about apparel and merchandise, rather than focusing on the Esports division. Nadeshot shared his thoughts on it recently and now 100T member Hiko has spoken up on their Valorant roster.

Hiko on the Valorant roster

Hiko stated that 100 Thieves plans to build its Valorant roster around himself and former Team Liquid CS: GO player Nitr0. The latter, often touted as one of the best CS: GO players in the world, is certainly a strong addition. Moreover, Nitr0 and Hiko have played together in the past.

We recruited Nitr0. As of now, the team is just Nitr0 and I. And 100 Thieves decided to rebuild the roster around me and NitrO. So if you don’t know who NitrO is, he is my old teammate from Liquid. One of my very long friends, I have always liked Nitr0,” Hiko said.

Hiko further mentioned that there is no time pressure from the Esports org. They haven’t forced Hiko to decide who he and NitrO would want to play with. 100T has given them ample support and time to make the necessary calls, although they aren’t in a managerial role.

“We’re not the managers, we’re not the GM’s and nor do we want to be. But I know that they’re going to be giving us a lot of say and a lot of time and space to figure out exactly who we want to play with. And exactly what the roster will be looking like from here on now.”

When Nitr0 signed for 100T, fans wanted to know when they would see the new roster in action. Sorry to disappoint but that might not happen anytime soon.

100 Thieves still has many recruitments to make before they can decide on their game plan moving forward.

“We won’t be playing in any tournaments in the near future until we finalize some kind of a roster. Don’t think that we’re just being complacent. We are looking for people, we are trying to figure out who we want to play with,” Hiko concluded.

The combination of Hiko and Nitr0 is certainly strong. There is no clarity on who 100 Thieves might sign next. But when it comes to its other esports rosters like CS: GO and Call of Duty, 100 Thieves is thriving.

If 100 Thieves manages a few more great signings, they would be a serious threat in competitive Valorant as well. In fact, they could even dominate the scene with all the time and space they have at the moment.
