Valorant: Why Episode 3 Might Change the Meta Completely

Valorant has been one of the most popular first-person shooter games lately. Many streamers and players love to play the game on a regular basis. In addition to that, the unique abilities that each agent holds make it more entertaining.

Episode 3 for Valorant is on its way and everyone is excited to test the upcoming agent. The new agent will definitely change the meta and players will focus on more retakes rather than holding and charging the enemies. However, Riot Games has also given buffs and nerfs to current agents noticing players’ picks. Indeed, this is to build a more competitive scenario in the game.

Episode 3 will drastically change the current meta of Valorant

Out of all the agents, Cypher is the only one receiving a buff. Developers lowered his ULT points from seven to six. Naturally, players will like to use him more, since reducing his ULT points makes him easier to pick. All the remaining agents other than Killjoy, are receiving some nerfs in their kits.

Starting from Astra, which is one of the most picked agents in the competitive plays. She will have her price decrease of Astral Form from 200 to 150. However, only one starting star will now be available for every round, which puts her in a critical situation.

The second agent is Raze, and many fans saw this coming as her Boombot was extremely dangerous and many buy it in the first round. We will see Boombot price increasing from 200 to 400 while developers also increased her ULT point to 8. Another agent whose ULT point is also increasing to 8 is Sage and players will see a price increase of her Slow Orb from 100 to 200.

It is quite surprising that Riot Games decided to nerf Sage more, as only a few players decide to use her in competitive. Pheonix ability, Curveball, Reyna ability, Leer, and Viper ability, Snake Bite price will also increase from 200 to 250, 200 to 250, and 100 to 200, respectively.

Breach is receiving a lot of nerfs with this update. His Aftershock ability will increase from 100 to 200. Furthermore, Flashpoint cost increased from 200 to 250 and he now has 2 charges instead of 3. Sova is also receiving some big nerfs as developers increased his Owl Drone and Shock Bolt price from 300 to 400 and 100 to 150. Other than that, they also increased his ULT points from 7 to 8.

Brimstone’s and Yoru’s abilities, Incendiary and Blindside, cost increased from 200 to 250. Omen’s two abilities will also see an increase and decrease in price that is Shrouded Step cost will increase from 100 to 150 and Paranoia cost will decrease from 400 to 300.

Skye’s ability, Trailblazer cost decreased from 250 to 200. However, we will see an increase in price for her Guiding Light, which will be 150. Moreover, Guiding Light now has two charges instead of three, and flashes now regenerate after 40 seconds.

Last but not the least, Jett, Cloudburst, and Updraft cost increased from 100 to 200 and 100 to 150, respectively. Shockingly, her ULT will require only 6 points which means players can use her ULT to their advantage more often.
