If you have an active subscription to the PS Plus program, you can access a minimum of three free games every month. Moreover, with the continuation of your subscription, all these titles remain in your collective library. The titles offered under the scheme are known as your Essentials for the PS Plus catalog. Unarguably, all the essentials since the beginning of the year have featured some of the most iconic features of the gaming world.

Usually, a variety of independent games, large AAA games, and games that fall halfway in between are available. The PlayStation Plus Essential games are available at no additional cost to PS Plus subscribers of all tiers. A new batch of games replaces these ones after a month of availability. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Evil Dead, Destiny 2, Battlefield 2042, NBA 2k23, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, and Alan Wake Remastered have been some of the most celebrated PS5 essentials that featured on PS Plus throughout the year.
