With the Steam Deck planned for release this December, new information about the console has started creeping out. Recently, fresh images have surfaced, giving us a glimpse of the Steam Deck UI. Valve’s Steam Deck was one of the most unexpected announcements of this year. And the Steam store owner’s latest offering might change mobile gaming as we know it.

While the Steam Deck is still out of reach for a lot of people, the hype surrounding the handheld console is not looking to die anytime soon.

Here’s what the Steam Deck UI will look like

Pavel Djundik, the creator of SteamDB, who usually shares stories regarding the platform’s big sales, took to Twitter to give us a first glimpse at how the upcoming Steam Deck UI will look.

If you are familiar with the Steam Store and its design, the Steam Deck UI will not amaze you. The Steam Deck version has been optimized to run on a smaller screen and be used in a handheld form. You can see his tweet below.

Pavel also cautioned viewers by informing them that this is still a work in progress. And there is a chance that the Steam Deck UI might change by the time it’s released this December.

As can be discerned, the Steam Deck UI shares a striking resemblance to its PC sibling, which makes sense. However, a slight change that can be noticed in the UI is the download queue. It presents more details of the game or application being downloaded.

The bottom left sports an icon displaying the “Steam Menu” text. There’s also the main interface showing the user’s Steam library, achievements, and playtime for a particular game. The images explain Deathloop’s storage details, achievements, screenshots, among other things.
