Starfield’s launch was not as flawless as many might have wished for it to be. The game launched to a positive response from critics, yet there are some people who have reservations about it. There’s a legitimate reason for such a response, too.

Starfield offers players something, not many games have even tried before: a universe and numerous planets to explore. However, it appears the space exploration in this game is not as flawless as fans wanted it to be.

Fans of Starfield are not satisfied with its space exploration mechanics!

When Starfield’s first trailer was dropped, fans were shown nothing but its scope. The ability to fly your ship from one planet to another, explore that planet, and fly somewhere else. This is something that many fans had heard of and even seen to some extent, but Starfield was coming with a promise of added depth to that mechanic.

Now that the game has finally reached the hands of its fanbase, it looks like this game is not really doing what was expected of it. At least not as flawlessly as many had thought. Players are set free in Starfield to explore the planets at their will, effectively fulfilling their destiny as members of Constellations.

But this journey starts with a loading screen, and when players reach a planet, yet another loading screen hits them. These load screens might even be something players can ignore, but imagine a person’s disappointment when they are hit with a message that’s basically hiding a landlock behind the boundary reached. This is indeed something very weird for a game that claims to have no bounds.

These messages do not even mean players cannot explore that complete planet; they only mean that they have to fly, land at another landing spot on that planet, and start exploring yet again. This means that players can indeed search for complete planets, piece by piece, but it becomes tedious.

While many do not care for such a thing, some gamers cannot get over this small detail. Besides this, Bethesda has made a game that is as exciting and deep as any other Bethesda game. After all, a video game is much more than its visuals and some small, overlooked technical stuff. Here’s hoping players can get over this issue and give this game a go.
