Although we are getting a bunch of rumors and leaks about GTA 6 several times a week, there is no confirmed news of the release of the game yet. This game, whenever it is released, will be something very special. Rockstar Games tends to make their games special. They are known for designing revolutionary game-changing open-world titles.

Similar is the case with Capcom’s upcoming game, Resident Evil 9. There’s no news on it, and it is regarded as one of the biggest games they have ever made. Capcom, too, is famous for breaking the boundaries when it comes to insanely expensive horror games. Between Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 6 and Capcom’s Resident Evil 9, fans wonder if there will be a price hike beyond $70.

A while ago, there was a rumor that GTA 6 would have a base price of $150. That’s the price most games used to have collector’s editions for. That rumor was somewhat silly and pointless. And it was debunked as quickly as it appeared. But one wonders, if not a hundred, would Rockstar and Take-Two consider going beyond that $70 price? If nothing else, GTA 6 is going to be the most expensive game ever made.

Resident Evil 9, on the other hand, is part of a trilogy. It is said to be the final game in the trilogy that started with 7. It would end the tale of Ethan Winters, even though he died in Resident Evil 8 or Village. There are chances Capcom will find a way to bring him back. But if some rumors turn out to be true, he would not be the protagonist. Chris Redfield, the boulder-punching soldier, would be the protagonist. The biggest piece of information is that this final chapter will be the most expensive game in the series yet. Would Capcom go ahead and release it for a price higher than $70? If it’s as pricey as they say, there is a slight chance of it happening.

Game development is getting increasingly expensive. Performers have started joining unions. So have the developers. Now that developers are slowly being pushed to pay a fair salary to all of them, they will find a way to charge the gamer for it.
