Results of Open-Beta of Battlefield 2042 Suggests the Title Is in Serious Trouble

The recent open-beta of Battlefield 2042 failed to leave a positive impression on the community. The early access showcased Battlefield’s classic game mode conquest mode featuring a new map Orbital. However, things didn’t go as the studio had intended and the open-beta session ended up leaving a sour taste in everyone’s mouth.

The developers claimed that the open beta showcased a dated version of the game. However, new information from within the studio states that the gameplay only showcased a mere 90-day-old build.

Battlefield 2042 is not ready for next month’s release

A recent report from gaming intel by Tom Henderson reveals bad news for Battlefield fans the world over. The game lacks fluidity, and it feels quite clunky with its horribly built. Moreover, the hardcore fanbase of Battlefield found crucial features of the franchise being cut and it picked up newer trends.

This lack of originality has plunged it into an identity crisis as the game does not feel like a Battlefield game. Originally, developers called it several months old build which has been polished further before the launch. If this turns out to be false, then fans will not have something great lined up and it will greatly disappoint the community.

More news from within the community has brought even more disappointing news for the community. The studio behind the title, DICE, is facing serious problems of its own in terms of creativity. Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare and Warzone greatly influenced Battlefield’s developers. This saw them picking up few aspects from the title, which has seen the classic system of the franchise being removed,

The future of Battlefield 2042 does not look promising at all. The current build quality of the game and the current situation is the result of nearly 3 years of production. No matter what DICE has to say, things aren’t looking great for the franchise.

If this title releases with issues that it already contains, then the franchise will take a major setback. After being out of action for three years, then Call of Duty has won the war already.
