In case anyone is not familiar with Apex Winter Express Mode, then you might not know that it’s a round-based mode. There are three squads battling each other with the objective of taking control of the train which is on its to the World Edge.

Undoubtedly, the game developers are bringing the mode back after watching its enormous success last year; however, they will introduce it this year with some minor changes.

This year, players will respawn on their own supply ship at the start of a new round. The supply ship will follow the train and players have to sky dive into combat as the train arrives at its next station.

The objective will unlock as soon as they land on the station, also the winning team of the previous round will respawn directly on the train.

Respawn Entertainment will introduce a new station for the train to stop at Derailment. The new station will have tons of flanking opportunities and a unique rotation under the bridge where the train stops for players. It will be quite interesting to see how players will adapt to this fresh addition to the game.

According to game developers, they’ve reduced long respawn times between rounds that players experienced last year. Their thoughts on these changes were,

“We can now spawn you earlier on the supply ships, and the longest section of track between stations is now divided in half with Derailment. We think these changes will make the mode an even more awesome experience.”
