Max Verstappen and Red Bull are slowly becoming one of the most successful partnerships in the sport’s history. Since joining the Austrian team in 2016, the Dutch driver has won 26 races and has got 68 podiums altogether. He also won his first championship at the end of the 2021 season.

Former Red Bull driver Mark Webber believes that this pairing can become one of the all-time best in the history of sports. He also revealed that he cannot imagine Verstappen driving for any team in F1 other than Red Bull.

“Why not? Yes, absolutely,” said Webber, expressing how the partnership between Verstappen and Red Bull could become iconic.

“It’s very hard to imagine Max driving for another team. Max and Red Bull, that’s also just a crazy good marriage when you look at how they perform and what a great banner he is for the Red Bull brand. The ‘Verstappen style’ suits Red Bull perfectly; he embodies what Red Bull stands for,” said the former Red Bull driver. [Translated by Google]

“Red Bull is only in it to be competitive and to win. And for that, you need not only a good team but also an extraordinary driver. Not everyone can achieve what Max has achieved for Red Bull in recent years. He and the team need each other to win more titles in the future,” said Klein.

If the pairing went on to win several more titles in the coming years, then they will surely have their names in the ‘iconic’ category. They have every ingredient to achieve greatness in the sport.

Hopefully, the 2021 title wasn’t their last big win together. Verstappen is contractually bound to drive for the team until the end of the 2028 season. Let’s see how many more titles will he have with the team.
