Could Sebastian Vettel Be a Driving Force Behind Aston Martin’s Unexpected New Signing?

Recently, Aston Martin Racing pulled off an unexpected move following the exit of Otmar Szafnauer, former team principal and one of the most trusted members of the British outfit. Many anticipated AMR to hand over Szafnauer’s role to the newly recruited Martin Whitmarsh.
The ex-McLaren CEO has a strong history of handling multiple roles at the same time. Hence, it almost looked like Aston Martin would do the same with the 63-year-old Briton. But, then arrived a shocking turnaround, as Lawrence Stroll, instead, appointed Mike Krack, the former Sauber BMW F1 team head.
This left many wondering, how on earth did Aston Martin find Krack amongst other prominent team leaders? Well, there is a possibility that Sebastian Vettel might have played a hand in this unusual union. How you might ask? Well, the four-time world champion and the former Sauber engineer have already worked together in the past.

“I have a lot of respect for his speed and ability It’s fantastic to be back together Lance Stroll is of course also a fast and talented driver with over 100 Grand Prix starts to his credit. I look forward to working closely with him as well.”
