“Captain America: Civil War” – the successful movie got a 7.8/10 on IMDB and 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. With Drive to Survive growing in F1, the Civil War between the fans of the different drivers & teams is also brewing nicely. Steadily F1 has become the cinematic spectacle Netflix & Liberty Media envisioned it as. For instance, the civil war between Charles Leclerc fans and Carlos Sainz fans on Twitter is a spectacle. A Spectacle that is best when it does not happen. But, for now, it is happening and Leclerc’s fans are getting the best of Sainz and his fans.

The last two races, in Canada and Austria, have been unfair to Sainz, in his opinion. In Canada, Leclerc in P4 was assured that Sainz in P5 won’t attack. And in Austria, Sainz, in P3 asked his team to swap places with Leclerc, in P2, as he was quicker. But Ferrari denied that request. Eventually, he finished P6 and felt let down by the team. It’s not just the team that’s affected him.

His Monegasque teammate’s fans have never left any stone unturned to remind him that he’ll always be 2nd best. There are grave issues because of which Sainz has been disliked in the past. But, the hate from Leclerc’s fans is not only for the bigger matters but also for trivial ones. And one F1 fan pointed out the same thing, following which, the comments section turned into a war zone.

Both fanbases had their verbal weapons out to destroy the other. But there was a clear winner in this undesirable battle.

Charles Leclerc’s Fans Leave No Stone Unturned In Defeating Carlos Sainz Off-Track as Well

Despite having 10 more points than Leclerc in the WDC, Carlos Sainz looks to have lost the political battle within Ferrari. And on Twitter, his fans have lost the off-track battle against Leclerc’s fans as well. After @oshillex posted his opinion on Sainz being unfairly hated, a gang war started in the comments. From calling Sainz a “less likeable lance stroll” to criticizing him for his supposed hypocrisy, Tifosi didn’t give him a break.

Just about everything seems to be going wrong for Sainz at the moment, professionally and personally. The next race in Silverstone is where he defied team orders in 2022 and proved that his call was right. If Ferrari continues to favor Leclerc (which they have denied), Sainz might pull off a 2022 British GP Sainz masterclass again.
