Every person invested in Formula 1 finds a unique way to stay connected to the sport. Some watch it on a regular basis from the stands or the comfort of their homes, while some have more creative ideas. McLaren’s CEO Zak Brown, despite being knee-deep in the day-to-day activities of Formula 1, comes under the creative ideas section, especially when it comes to Ayrton Senna. However, before we discuss that, we need to you some background on Zak Brown’s love for the sport and certain drivers. Sadly, no driver from the current McLaren lineup makes the list, although with good reason.

America’s Favorite Video Today

The reason? The fact that all drivers Brown mentions in his conversation during the Fast and the Curious podcast are legends of the sport. Not just in Formula 1 either, some drivers like Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, and Nigel Mansell have broken the barriers. All three are champions in F1 and the IndyCar series, which Brown is a big fan of. So even though Brown has been complimenting his current drivers, there was no room for them on the “cool” list.

Brown said, “I spend a lot of time in IndyCar races. It’s massively competitive. Some of my favorite drivers Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, they raced in both. I think that’s really cool that they’re IndyCar champions and Indy500 champions and Formula 1. I like that kind of diversity! Of course, then Senna’s my favorite driver and Mika. So I think I just named my top five favorite drivers of all time.”
