The 2020 F1 season saw several tracks included in the F1 calendar that were not regular. The FIA had to fall back on several European circuits this year due to the deadly COVID virus. Therefore, even after only 17 rounds in the championship this year, the season was exciting.
However, the 2021 season going to be very hectic. The provisional calendar released earlier threatened of a 23 race season. With the world in a better place, COVID-wise, and the reduced rounds this season, such a calendar was not a shock. Although it might undergo some modifications, the number may not change.
Meanwhile, there has been considerable gossip about the Hanoi Circuit of the Vietnamese Grand Prix. After the chairman of the Hanoi People’s committee was arrested under corruption charges, FIA ruled out the possibility of a race there. Since then, the authorities have been hunting for a replacement.

After a successful year of bringing back old tracks into the calendar, the FIA has a varied range of choices. Starting from tracks like Mugello to Portimao, Nurburgring, Istanbul Park and a few others.
However, one that is most likely to make the calendar is Imola, the circuit for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
FIA will not look at Istanbul Park because the dates clash with Turkeys’s national festival, Ramadan. The other would be Portimao, but the drivers have already complained about a gripless tarmac. Well, that leaves out Mugello and Imola and the latter is being preferred at this point.

However, the race was not exciting for everyone. Max Verstappen was flying and had overtaken Valtteri Bottas. Agreed that Bottas had some faults in his car, but Max definitely outperformed him. Unfortunately, a rear right puncture saw him take another DNF to his name as he missed out on a podium yet again.
Besides him, George Russell would want to forget that race as well. After a full 2 years of trying to score his first championship points, he was finally a few laps away from scoring that.
