Formula 1 racing can sometimes be a tough business in terms of balancing the act. No doubt, your family always comes first. But when your father is a bonafide racing legend, it can be more of a bane than a boon. With a recent upturn in his fortunes, Carlos Sainz sees himself back in favor of the Tifosi. But an alarming trend his father, Carlos Sainz Sr. has introduced in Maranello may actually have irked the fans against the Spanish racing ace.
Sainz Sr. carved a niche out for himself in the discipline of rallying. And there’s no secret that he loves his son very much. But that can be a bad combination when your uber-famous racing legend of a father starts speaking out against the team, in your favor. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what has happened with Sainz. After his stunning Monza performance, Sainz’s father was quoted as complaining, “It’s odd. Sometimes they decide some things, and sometimes others. Carlos has to ask and understand the strategies, why sometimes they can attack each other, and other times not. I keep the third place. Now that it has happened, I prefer it to be like this, without any type of team order or anything. Deserved.”
🎙️#Sainz: “I don't feel less considered at #Ferrari. I don't know why it's being said, since I arrived in this team in 2021 I've never felt that way”

In the aftermath, Sainz Jr. tried to contain the fire. But his attempts have massively backfired on social media. Sainz was quoted by Sky Italy as saying, “I don’t feel less considered at Ferrari. I don’t know why it’s being said, since I arrived in this team in 2021 I’ve never felt that way.” Sainz would’ve hoped this to have mitigated the consequences of his father’s fiery words, but the fans have decided to push back instead.
Fans brutally call Carlos Sainz & Co. out in public after Ferrari comments
F1 can be very brutal sometimes in terms of fans and their voice. More so when you drive for an iconic team like Ferrari that has such a passionate bunch of fans. Sainz and his father faced the full wrath of the Tifosi on this occasion, as on Twitter, the fans brutally called the duo out for their hypocritical versions.
One fan even commented, “Idk maybe you should ask your father ??” in response to Sainz Jr.’s comments to the media.
Let’s take a look at just a few of the fan reactions from this recent debacle.
