Until a very long time since his debut in Formula 1, Fernando Alonso kept his personal life to himself. He wasn’t among the kind that like to put their private matters out in public. However, that changed when he finally decided to make an account on Twitter. The Spaniard gave his fans an insight into what goes on in his life and also uses the platform to promote his brands. Seems like the social media bug has gotten to him, as he is the latest to join TikTok. He revealed what he will put out on the platform and we are sure fans are going to love it.

Before the 2023 season starts next month, F1 drivers are dropping surprise bombs on their fans, one after the other. Max Verstappen, who is probably the most private person among the current lot, performed a TikTok routine. Just when fans were beginning to get over it, he made a reappearance. This time around, it was an acting skit with team principal Christian Horner, followed by a blistering run in a Ford high-performance van. Now it’s his 41-year-old grid mate Fernando who is ready to take over the social media game.

Fernando started out in F1 pretty young when he made his debut in 2001. Winning the world championship for the first time in 2005, he became the youngest to do so back then at the age of 24. Next year, as he successfully defended his title, he quickly became the media’s darling. However, that did not turn out to be the best for him as a lot of false stories were being run about him.

Next-Gen Auto, in a 2013 article, quoted him as saying, “Since I started using Twitter, I am the one who says what I am doing. Before, it could be said that I was spending my holiday with elephants or that I was having dinner with Obama, but now for example, I can be the one to say that I was in Italy, skiing on New Year’s day before going to Russia and from there to Brazil to take part in the kart race organized by Felipe (Massa).”
