‘His Critics Should Be Aware of This’- Amid Criticism Over F1 Form, Vettel Finds Support

Sebastian Vettel is one of the greatest drivers in Formula One history, with four world titles under his belt. While many now claim he’s past his prime, Rally champion Walter Rohrl has defended the Aston Martin driver and thinks that the German still has what it takes.
In 2020, Vettel’s finished his last season as a Ferrari driver in the 13th spot in the driver’s standings with just 33 points to his name. Now with Aston Martin, the German has gotten a new lease on life at redeeming himself.
However, things didn’t go as planned for Vettel in his debut race for the Silverstone-based team. He had a grid penalty that saw him start dead last and a 10 second time penalty due to his crash with Ocon.

Rally Champion, Rohl comes to defend Sebastian Vettel
In an interview with F1 Insider, Rohrl said, “Such a talent has not forgotten how to drive. There must be reasons, both at Ferrari and now at Aston Martin, why things didn’t go that way. Sebastian has not forgotten how to drive one hundred percent.”

Ralf Schumacher tells Vettel to stop complaining and start delivering

As quoted by PlanetF1, Schumacher said, “He has to step on the gas now. The whining that he doesn’t feel the car has to stop. Nobody cares about that, and after all, we’re in Formula 1 here and he’s also earning a lot of money.”
“At the end of the day, Sebastian is an experienced racing driver and a multiple world champion. He has to clean up with his team-mate now and the rest will come on its own even if the Aston Martin doesn’t turn into a winning car this year,” he concluded.
