Max Verstappen has a hypnotic hold over his orange army. The Dutch fans, who are among the most dedicated fans in the world of F1, don’t appreciate any negativity toward their hero. So, when Claire Holt made a demeaning comment toward the Dutchman, she faced the wrath of the angry Dutchmen.

The Australian actress is a recent Formula 1 spectator, like many other celebrities. During a Q&A on her Instagram stories, she was asked if she still follows the sport. This is when she made the “grouchy baby” comment. Safe to say, these comments did not sit well with Verstappen’s fanbase. She instantly received a lot of backlash as a result of that. However, instead of backtracking on her comments despite the harassment, she posted another story solidifying her stance.

“I can’t stop laughing about this,” she began. “People are taking it so seriously that I called him a grouchy baby. By the way, I stand by what I said. Checo has been a great teammate and what he did to him was baby behavior.”

What comments did Claire Holt make that got the entire Max Verstappen fanbase livid?

The Australian actress, like her friend Nina Dobrev, is an avid F1 fan. She has even made multiple trips to the track on various occasions. She even got the invite to visit the Williams garage at the 2022 Miami GP. Safe to say, the Australian is well versed with the word of F1. This is exactly when she had such a strong opinion when asked if she still follows F1.

On her Instagram Q&A, she said, “I love it, but I’m tired of Max [Verstappen] winning all the time. Also, I think he’s a grouchy baby, and I’d like Checo [Perez] to kick his a*s.”
