Who do you think spent most of the time under the spotlight over the inaugural Miami Grand Prix? There were tons of sporting legends, including Michael Jordan and David Beckham, but they only managed to embrace brief attention. Then, of course, there were the podium-sitters, including Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. However, amidst such big names, it was actually McLaren that garnered the highest amount of attention from the fandom.
The roller-coaster ride began on Friday when one of the most famous late-night show hosts, James Corden, showed up in the paddock. Many wondered, ‘who is he rooting for?’ And the answer eventually turned out to be McLaren.
What’s more, it only got weirder and weirder, with Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo joining the British TV star sporting McLaren crop tops; An episode the fans can never unsee.

From thereon, the Papaya squad turned into one of the most-talked teams on the grid with many showing a constant urge to take a peek at Corden’s Miami F1 special episode. Of course, the hype died down after a week, as no such episodes aired on his late-night show.

James Corden joins McLaren Pitwall at Miami
McLaren recently unveiled a hilarious video featuring the UK-based guest and the Honey Badger. The clip had Corden playing the role of Ricciardo’s race engineer. “How’s it looking? Can I get some feedback?” Ricciardo asked.
Soon after, Corden replied, “Feedback? Yeah, I mean, you dress pretty well. You’re a good guy to be around. Always the life and soul of the party, you smell terrific.”

Unsurprisingly, Ricciardo was touched by the bizarre yet helpful feedback from the Briton and responded to it. “I’m not gonna lie. This is really nice,” the Australian concluded.
Overall, it definitely seems like Corden had a good time and so did the team in Miami. Of course, their excitement was restricted to off-track as neither Norris nor Ricciardo managed to excel on the track. Hence, we head into the Spanish Grand Prix with high expectations and hopes of witnessing the potential resurgence of McLaren.
