After Vogue showed Shakira on the screen during Lewis Hamilton’s interview drew the ire of fans, who immediately noticed how the pair were seemingly reunited on the screen.

However, things changed drastically after news of the couple’s split emerged. Little did they know they would get an unexpected reunion on the screen at the MET Gala 2024.

Through Vogue’s cheeky tactics, while Lewis Hamilton gave an interview about his outfit, broadcasters showed Shakira on the screen at the same time, bringing to notice the pair’s history over the course of 2023. Hamilton, meanwhile, kept his focus on bringing out the best of this year’s theme, Garden of Time, with a tribute to black history. With a poem from Alex Wharton on the inside of his jacket, Hamilton paid the ultimate tribute to John Ystumllyn, an influential figure in the history of the UK.

They understood clearly what was being shown on screen was an obvious nod to Hamilton’s relationship with Shakira.

The incident, in a manner, takes attention away from both the celebrities, particularly Lewis Hamilton as he highlights an important figure in history and culture, as well as from Shakira who is debuting her look at the event.

While Shakira was present at the Miami GP last year, Lewis Hamilton fans did not see her attend this year’s event, leaving some quite disappointed. However, this unexpected reunion comes as some form of silver lining for the fanbase.
