F1 is a sport where your teammate is your biggest competitor. That is simply because of the fact that you cannot afford to lose to another driver racing the same machinery. That is probably the reason why this sport has seen many teammate vs teammate rivalries in almost every era. One of the fiercest ones of the modern era was the one between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. At one point, it got so out of hand that they started colliding with each other on the track. In a recent interview, Hamilton made a shocking confession about the type of relationship they shared.

Lewis recently appeared for an interview that involved him taking a lie detector test. Despite the nature of some of the questions being playful and non-serious, they caught him lying on several occasions. One such occasion arose when they asked him if he thought he could beat his teammate George Russell in an arm wrestling contest. The lie detector caught him in the red when he said yes. All he could do then was laugh and admit that George’s physique certainly was in a good shape.

In the teaser of the major interview, interviewer Simon Lazenby asked Hamilton, You see him walking down the corridor. Do you dive into your house?”

To this, Lewis simply replied “yes” and they both burst into laughter.

Before the video came out, many speculated if they were talking about Rosberg here. They expected to get the answer when the complete interview was released. However, to everyone’s disappointment, that part never made it to the final cut. Lazenby, however, came out to give restless fans some relief by telling them that they were indeed talking about Rosberg.

The confession sent fans into a laughter fit.

One fan posted a sad Nico meme as their reaction to the post.

While the released version of the interview was hilarious in its own right, adding this instance would have definitely made it better.

During the qualifying of the 2014 Monaco GP, Rosberg went the quickest. He was leading Hamilton on the track when the Briton was on a flying lap, which could have given him the pole position. However, to Hamilton’s dismay, Rosberg lost control of the car and went off on the escape road, causing yellow flags and depriving Lewis of a chance at getting a pole. Many believed back then that Nico did it on purpose. Hamilton also did not rule out that possibility.

One fan found the confession to be too relatable.
