Max Verstappen’s Mind-Blowing F1 Streak Which Ended at the Turkish GP

November 18, 2020 10:18 am

Max Verstappen was the only usual racer at the first 2 rows of the Turkish Grand Prix during lights out. The rest were far behind in the 3rd or 6th row. Yet, he could not hold his ground till the 58th lap and eventually finished P6.

The Dutchman displayed extreme skill at the beginning of the race. He took off well but went scrambling for grip at the first corner.

The track was dripping wet. So, the Red Bull.33 could not beat it with pace; he had to do it with control. Well, that is one area we have seen him struggle and Istanbul Park was his ultimate challenge.

However, Max was doing well until he started spinning out. He had to balance pace and control yesterday, and he failed miserably. Verstappen committed several mistakes that cost him his podium at Turkey.

A post on Reddit has gone viral, which states that it was the first race for Max Verstappen in 2020, where he finished off the podium. Well, for him to maintain such a streak and then drop to P6 straight, it is pitiful.

Max Verstappen still has a lot to learn

Max Verstappen is a talent awaiting his time. The driver is stuck between the Mercedes cars and has barely outsmarted them once this season. Yet, he is the only driver to have even pushed on the Mercedes AMGs a bit.

The Dutchman clarified with his performance last Sunday that he still has a lot to learn.

Max Verstappen was not having a very pleasant experience in Istanbul. He seemed lost in Turkey. Well, the youngster can still make a name for himself as time is on his side.

The Red Bull No.33 has been formidable so far. A bad weekend would change nothing in his championship place. However, he will, of course, be disappointed with himself. After almost gifting pole to Lance on Saturday, he had hoped to fare better from P2.
