It’s that time of the year again. Last year, Lewis Hamilton started a private Instagram account called ‘plus44world.’ Right around this time in 2022, he made it public—open for following, and open for business. +44 is a brand by Hamilton that sells the seven-time champion’s merchandise. As part of its first capsule collection last season, the seven-time champion collaborated with renowned Japanese designer, Takashi Murakami. A little over 12 months later, they’re back! It’s the Las Vegas GP in a week, and what better way to celebrate than by splurging on Lewis Hamilton merch, am I right LH Army?

+44 isn’t just normal Hamilton merchandise. It’s his foray into streetwear. The collection he and Murakami released in 2022, “Psychedelic Speed Demon,” featured Murakami’s Mr. DOB, a three-eyed cartoon character he created in 1993. Of course, the designs also had his trademark flower. A year later, the elements in their Vegas drop, “The Vegas Trip,” are quite similar, but the colors scream Vegas.

The @plus44world Instagram handle announced the collection with the caption, “Fall down the Vegas trip with us — Shop opens November 15th🍄 🍄 🍄” The hoodies, t-shirts, long sleeves, and more—all part of the 27 garment collection—feature Murakami and Hamilton’s collaboration name, TMKK+44, on all designs. Apart from Mr. DOB and the flower, the designs also have two other characters Murakami designed—Kaikai and Kiki.

$10 Million Worth Supermodel Reps Lewis Hamilton on the Streets of New York

This collection is just as striking as the vibrant helmet Murakami designed for Hamilton for the 2022 Japanese GP. As always, it’s got fans all pumped for the drop. There’s just one problem.

Lewis Hamilton is “battering” fans’ wallets with his Las Vegas GP merch

Formula 1 merchandise is expensive. That’s a fact. When it’s a driver’s own merchandise, you can count on it being even more expensive. As much as the LH Army loves the collection, they know getting it is going to create a huge dent in their accounts. Despite that, they know what they have to do.
