Ever since the devastating lows of the 2021 season, Mercedes has seemingly lost their way in the Formula 1 world championship. The Brackley-based Silver Arrows ruled the streets in the turbo-hybrid era of the sport. However, ever since the 2022 regulations reset, the team has lost touch with its roots. That being said, with the recent evidence on record from the 2023 season, their divergence is far greater than just from a title-winning car. Nothing seems to go right for the Brit at the moment. He’s been winless since Jeddah, 2021, and this is the reality for a man who has a whopping 103 wins in this sport. But more than that, it would appear that ever since the arrival of George Russell, the team has seemingly shifted their priorities. And this fact isn’t sitting too well with the fans of the Brit and the team.

Back at the 2023 Australian GP, Hamilton was left scratching his head after his team apparently deserted him post a hard-fought P2 finish at Albert Park. Yesterday, at the Singapore GP, déjà vu struck as the Brit was once again left on his own as the team prioritized a devastated Russell over the glorious Hamilton.

Russell wasted a golden opportunity to become the man who ended Max Verstappen’s winning streak as he pitifully crashed out on the very last lap of the Grand Prix. But Hamilton still made it to the podium. It was a mega drive from the Brit. However, the fans online noticed how, once again, the team ditched him to instead console Russell.

The LH Army can be a pretty passionate bunch. After the Brit was seemingly snubbed by his own team to look after a driver, who in their eyes had squandered a shot at victory for the entire team, they decided to tear into the Silver Arrows.

While there were a lot of heated words being thrown at Mercedes, one fan’s comments stand out. They wrote on social media, “Never forget, this man made you. He should have left and joined Ferrari. Merc don’t deserve his loyalty.”
