Earlier McLaren engineers had highlighted that the two keep the ambience light with their jokes and thus get on very well with each other. Well, their walk does surely prove that. Following his teammate, Lando too pointed his best habit of Carlos.
“Well, the best thing about you is just how relaxed you are. Well, you are not always relaxed. A lot of times you focus and concentrate on the job. But I think when we are away from the track and we are not having to focus on the next session or the next race, we enjoy a lot of the time in the paddock,” recalled Lando.

However, their fellowship is not merry all the time. Alike blood brothers, each had a quality that they dislike about each other. They pointed it out and either may disagree at first but finally came to terms. Starting with Lando, he pointed out that Carlos turns out to be a showoff at times.
“I’ll tell you what the worst thing is about you. It’s like when you are quick, you always try to rub it in. So you just don’t realize it. You know in subtle ways. You don’t just show it off in one go. Really little ways where you try to rub it in and like how good I am,” recalled Lando.
Well, that’s healthy criticism from the Brit. However, that should not bother Norris much because Carlos Sainz appreciates him the most in the team. The spaniard is so close to his teammate that he gets annoyed when his teammate behaves out of line. That is pure brotherhood at McLaren.
