Many believe that Verstappen will pose the biggest challenge to Lewis Hamilton in the 2020 season. However, Prost did have some reservations about that notion.

The 4-time world champion suggested that Verstappen needs to stay calm and maintain his composure in certain moments. Though he did admit that once Verstappen has it under control, as well as a good car under him, he is unstoppable.

“Many French drivers are in a similar situation to him. There is more and more money in the world, but not here (in France),” added Prost.

On the subject of the Renault Sport Formula One team, it will launch its 2020 car on February 12. However, the team clarified that the new car will not be “physically present” at the event. Normally, a show car is put on display, but a spokesman indicated otherwise.

What will likely happen is that the livery may be displayed on the 2019 car, while the 2020 beast will debut later on. This will possibly take place when testing begins on the 19th of February.
