Charles Leclerc believes Max Verstappen’s outspoken nature in the media is one of the more irritating aspects of the Dutchman. The Monegasque was answering fan questions on ZiggoSport when quizzed about the Red Bull star’s tiresome qualities.
Verstappen’s no stranger to making debatable comments or remarks on and off the track. From radio rants to brutally honest media pen quotes, the Red Bull driver says it as he sees it. While the majority of F1 fans prefer an honest personality like Max, the Dutchman’s remarks also alienate portions of the paddock at times.
“Sometimes he can do silly comments in [the] media,” Leclerc said.

Leclerc not opposed to being teammates with Max Verstappen
Leclerc also revealed that he is open to teaming up with his rival in the future.
“I mean we drive against each other for a very long time, back in karting too. We had some funny moments, well funny now,” joked the Ferrari driver.

While Leclerc and Verstappen aren’t necessarily the best of friends on the grid, there’s no denying that the Ferrari star’s analysis is true.

“I don’t think that if you are 30 or 40 seconds behind your team-mate, that’s very good.

Verstappen was asked to elaborate on the same in the buildup to the Sakhir Gp but declined to do so. Nevertheless, Verstappen’s bullish approach and no-nonsense attitude is a welcome change in F1.
With Hamilton missing out on this weekend’s race, Verstappen will be keen to end a relatively disappointing F1 season on a high. Despite not having the fastest car on the grid, Red Bull seem the favorites to win the Sakhir Gp.
