Romain Grosjean’s crash had everyone the entire Formula 1 world shook. As the session stopped, the drivers were back at the grid waiting to hear about Romain’s situation, with Sebastian Vettel mentioning that he tried not to see the replays. Meanwhile, Grosjean got out of the fireball with minor injuries on his hands and ankle.
Sebastian Vettel questioned the failure of barriers involved in Grosjean’s crash. According to reports, “The impact tore Grosjean’s car in half, leaving the monocoque including the halo and survival cell embedded in the metal guard rail while a big fire began.”
Vettel said, “I don’t know how to be honest, but obviously the guard rail is not supposed to fail like that. It’s good that the cars are safer as they used to be in the past, but the guard rail shouldn’t fail and the car shouldn’t catch fire in that fashion”
