The relationship between Neymar Jr. and his current club, PSG, is going through tumultuous times, to say the least. The Brazilian was reportedly supposed to be at his club last weekend. However, he gave it a miss and was seen hanging out with the likes of Maria Sharapova at the Monaco GP. While he was there supporting his favorite driver and friend, Lewis Hamilton, inadvertently snubbed him. However, it seems like things are back to normal between the two as the Mercedes champion made up to him with a heartfelt gesture.

You don’t often see celebrities and sports stars regularly watching F1 races in person from the circuit. Tennis icon Maria Sharapova, however, has turned out to be quite an F1 fan. After the star-studded Miami GP, Masha made her way to the legacy race of Monaco last weekend. Turns out she is not the only sporting sensation who is developing a liking for zooming cars. Neymar, who was there for the Monaco GP, is already there for the Spanish GP as well. That is before the race weekend even starts. Lewis seems to be making it worth his while, though.

Being one of the most well-known sportspersons in the world, Neymar had access to the grid ahead of the start of the race. When he saw Lewis on the grid, he approached him while giving a live interview. Hamilton, who was probably in the zone for the start of the race, apparently gave him a cold shoulder, a moment that went wild.

There was only one thing Lewis could do to make up to him for the mistake. Going by a video that F1 shared on Facebook in 2020 where Neymar is shadow-driving an F1 car, it is clear that he is not a fan since yesterday. Realizing that, Hamilton gave him the real feel of his $15 million-worth (as per Sportingnews.com) Mercedes W14’s cockpit.

As a video of Neymar sitting in the W14 is doing the rounds of the internet, it is Lewis who looks more like a fanboy around him. His beaming smile while talking with the PSG forward shows that the bromance between the two is only beginning to blossom.

This, however, is not something that the top brass at the French soccer club is developing a liking for.

Neymar and his current club not seeing eye to eye has become one of the hottest topics lately. That is despite the fact that they recently won the Ligue 1. Apparently, there were some celebrations planned after the title win but Neymar gave it a miss.

As per Goal.com, coach Christophe Galtier shrugged off the issue citing some mobility issues with their star forward. However, according to French media outlet L’Equipe, Neymar’s decision to snub the celebrations at the club to attend the Monaco GP hasn’t gone down well with the top brass at PSG. They, apparently, see his absence as an act of “provocation”.
