“Wasn’t He Just a Hamilton Fan?”: Despite Lewis Being Dominated by F1 Star, Neymar Jr Mutters 1 Word to Appreciate His Brilliance, Leaving Fans Confused

Neymar Jr recently revealed his choice of driver and team during the Monaco GP. The fans were left in shock after his contrasting choice. Nevertheless, the Brazilian star has once again sent the fans into a shock, albeit a confused one this time around as he appreciates the brilliance of an F1 star, despite the star dominating Neymar’s favorite F1 driver. Who is this F1 star and what is that one word?

Neymar Jr has been making headlines due to his recent rendezvous to the F1 paddock. Last week in Monaco and this week in Spain. The Brazilian was invited over by Red Bull as a guest last weekend whereas this time around in Spain, Neymar Jr has been invited by Puma. Last time around in Monaco, the PSG player made it clear that he is a Red Bull supporter but also a fan of Lewis Hamilton. Nevertheless, Neymar must be disappointed not to see Hamilton on the podium last time around.

Esteban Ocon started P3 after an amazing qualifying session and finished on the podium to bring home the much-needed points. During the race, after the rain hit the track, Ocon was able to keep Lewis Hamilton behind him for the entirety of the wet running. As a result, Lewis Hamilton was left disappointed with a sorry P4 finish at Monaco. 

Neymar Jr recently encountered Esteban Ocon during the build-up to the Spanish GP weekend this Thursday. As Will Buxton and Laura Winter were conversing with Esteban Ocon, Neymar Jr walked by them. As the hosts asked Neymar to join in, he was seen shaking hands with Esteban Ocon, looking a bit confused. Ocon said “How’s it going man? All good?”, as he shook hands with the PSG star. As Neymar is about to walk away, Will Buxton asks “He[Esteban Ocon] did a great job last time, didn’t he?”, to which the Brazilian hesitantly replies with one word “Ofcourse” and then walked away. 

As Neymar hesitantly uttered, Of course, the fans are left in a state of confusion as he recently suggested that Lewis Hamilton is his favorite driver and Ocon was the one who prevented the Briton from getting on the podium in Monaco. Let’s see what the fans think.

Fans took to Twitter to express their confusion and to come up with theories of their own as Neymar appreciated Esteban Ocon’s performance. Some questioned Neymar being a Hamilton fan. Others explained how the Brazilian does not understand English and just said whatever he did to play nice. Some suggested how he was all over the place last time around and is in the paddock for every race now. Let’s see how the fans reacted on Twitter.

Some took the opportunity to troll Neymar Jr for easily going down when someone touches him on the football field but not going down here as Esteban Ocon shakes his hand. Some called it cringe while others explained how Neymar has a lot of free time on his hands and was always seen in the paddock.

Some suggested that Neymar is collecting teams like Pokemon cards as he was hosted with Red Bull in Monaco, posted pictures with Ferrari, Mercedes, and Alfa Romeo recently, and is now appreciating Esteban Ocon, who driver for Alpine.
