After a rough start to his new chapter at Aston Martin, Sebastian Vettel has finally managed to score his first F1 points this season. The German is happy with the progress of the Silverstone-based team and looks forward to improving on his form.

The four-time world champion showed glimpses of improvement during Saturday’s intense qualifying session. He made it into the third round of qualifying and set the eighth fastest lap of the circuit.

On the main day, right when it mattered, Vettel showed what he was capable of doing and proved his critics wrong. The German driver came fifth and scored 10 points, his first ever for Aston Martin this season.

The German won’t feel grumpy anymore after Monaco GP

With Vettel finally finding his feet at the Monaco GP in the British racing green car after a horrid season with Ferrari and a poor start to his season, the German finally seems happier with himself.

Speaking to Channel 4 alongside Mark Webber, as quoted by PlanetF1, Vettel said, “Sometimes the criticism is justified and sometimes it’s not. Obviously, I have a very different view on some things because I get to see the full picture from my performance and rest assured, and Mark [Webber] knows this.
