As the spectators held their breath, one of the jetpack-wearing performers seemed to realize that something was awry. As he prepared to land, an uneasy feeling settled in the air.
Excitement quickly turned into concern.
Despite the jetpack-wielding daredevil realizing that something was wrong, he appeared powerless to rectify his impending crash.
The collective gasp from the crowd echoed across the F1 circuit as the individual hit the ground with a thud. The forceful impact, and his body rolling along the track was a painful sight for everyone to watch.
ESPN F1 later tweeted out the footage of the crash, after confirming that the stuntman was safe.
The moment the cameramen realized that the stuntman didn’t sustain any injuries, they made sure to capture the moment. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as the pilot bumped his fists in the air.
Twitterati Reacts
Of course, knowing that the pilot was alright, twitter took this opportunity to begin creating memes out of this moment. One meme worthy moment that caught everyone’s attention was Piastri’s reaction to the whole debacle that was unfolding in front of his eyes. Thankfully, as ESPN tweeted out “nobody was injured.” However, the situation could have been dire, had the stuntman hit the ground forcefully or gone off limits. Don’t you feel there must be more precautionary measures taken for pre-sports entertainment as well?
