Valtteri was the first to hit the track in the W09 yesterday, followed by Lewis today. While the Finn encountered dry conditions behind the wheel, Lewis faced a more tricky proposition in the rain. However, this is a car in which Lewis won the 2018 driversâ championship by 408 points. That is 88 points ahead of Vettel in second place, so itâs not like a 6-time world champion like Hamilton would struggle with a little bit of rain. Lewis Hamilton posted a clip of himself, setting off on the pit lane with Mercedes today, with the words, âBack behind the wheel.âÂ
Away from the track, Lewis Hamilton has been very active on his social media. For the past couple of weeks, Hamilton has been championing the cause for the âblack lives matterâ movement. He has been bold enough to question the F1 fraternityâs silence over the matter, and since then most of Lewisâ fellow drivers have come out and voiced their support for the movement. Also, a couple of days ago, Lewis attacked the UK government for not handling the COVID-19 pandemic situation adequately.
