F1 is returning to Las Vegas after a gap of 4 decades for the 2023 season. This announcement has made everyone involved with the sport very excited. This also means that we will have 3 races in the United States of America next season, with the other 2 being in Austin and Miami.
But the inclusion of the Las Vegas Grand Prix would mean that in 2023 we will have 25 races on the calendar, with Qatar and China also in the mix. However, that would not be possible as F1 is contractually restricted to home more than 24 races.

A few of the races that need renegotiating in their contracts are Belgium, France, Monaco, Mexico, and the Netherlands. According to The Race, Mexico and Netherlands may end up signing a new contract at the end of the season.
Will F1 race in Spa-Francorchamps in the 2023 season?
It was unfathomable a few years ago to lay a finger on its ‘Crown Jewel’ of F1. There is a likelihood that we might not race in Monaco next season. But the sport will do everything to retain one of the most iconic tracks in the sport. So that leaves just 2 tracks, Paul Ricard in France and Spa-Francorchamps.

There have been one too many crashes at its most iconic corner Eau-Rogue in the past couple of years. Many cars have lost control at the iconic corner, which led to a fatality in 2019. Although the track organizers are making many necessary changes at the corner to prevent such accidents from happening again, the track might still lose its place in the F1 calendar.

The track also under threat of losing its place on the F1 calendar is Paul Ricard. The return of the circuit to the pinnacle of motorsports has not worked at all. Barring last years’ race, every race since its return in 2018 hasn’t been exciting. It might be time for the sport to drop France from the calendar and welcome the Las Vegas GP next season.
