This year has seen the growth of quite a few unorthodox titles that rose to popularity on account of their simple yet engaging gameplay. Earlier today, Mediatonic announced that the game has passed a significant milestone. On PC alone, the game has crossed more than 11 million downloads globally. In addition to this, it is one of the most downloaded titles on PS4 as well.

The game is available for free as a part of the PS Plus subscription. This is something that has definitely contributed to the huge popularity of the game. However, the game has crossed an even more impressive milestone on PC.

What is worth noting here is that Fall Guys is not free on this platform. Crossing a total of 11 million downloads on PC alone, in spite of being a paid title, really makes us think about what made the game rise to this huge popularity.

What makes Fall Guys such a popular title?

As we said before, this title is one of the peculiar additions to the Battle Royale genre. Unlike other BR titles, this game does not feature a steep learning curve and is simple and straightforward. Basically, the entire game is crafted as an elaborate hurdle race, where eliminations take place after each level. The objective is to touch the crown at the end of the race before everyone.

Moreover, it is a rare breed of non-violent BR title, making it a title for all ages to enjoy. If you have not played Fall Guys yet, we have to say, you are missing out on a lot!
