Earlier today, Rich Energy Haas became the first team to take the wraps off their 2019 car. The big reveal displayed a stunning black and gold livery that greatly resembled the Lotus F1 car.

However, the Lotus was not the only other team that the Rich Energy Haas was compared with. Many saw an uncanny resemblance with Formula E team, DS Techeetah. The defending Formula E champions also run a similar livery. This season, Techeetah had more gold than black, but previous editions had it the other way round.

Interestingly, many also felt that Haas’ livery looked similar to an IndyCAR team’s livery, coincidentally running black and gold. It certainly seems that black and gold is a popular colour scheme in racing.
