Fortnite has repeatedly been featuring on the headlines these days, but not for reasons the developers would like. Epic’s decision to sue Apple and Google after the game was kicked off from both the stores shook to world.
Tim Sweeney and Co. openly called Apple out for their monopolistic policies. This trial will definitely change the tech and gaming industry, for better or worse.
However, this hasn’t deterred the game from innovating and adding new features on a near regular basis. However, there is one specific LTM that seems weirder than any other game mode, and that is the Tank Battle Mode.
Tank Battle LTM in Fortnite
This mode is specifically peculiar because it doesn’t really follow the norms of a normal Fortnite BR match. You have all the guns and build capabilities available but with a huge twist.
Instead of healing/shield consumables, you receive 1/shield per second till it fully regenerates. Then, you can also steal health by inflicting damage upon your enemies.
This gets a little weird considering if the opponent manages to hit you back, he/she will get their health up. This will continue until one player is eliminated.
Seems odd, doesn’t it? Even the looting system is a little different here. You will find gold level rocket launchers inside random chests, something that is highly unlikely in a normal BR match. Even the damage inflicted by any of the weapons is reduced by 25% so players can engage in combat for a longer period of time.
Popular streamer SypherPK thinks this is an interesting mode. In a recent video, he said, “I never once felt that I was out of shield and never had to worry about health because I was constantly inflicting damage.
“I think this is one of the better ones that they have put out so far.”
This game mode is still available, so you may want to try it out before Season 4 begins. For now, we know that the new season may be space-themed. It has been rumored for quite a while, and the new POI that includes a spaceship in the game also indicates the same.
Fortnite is going through a rough patch right now with its hackers and legal issues. Only time will tell what the future holds for the game.
I love to play games of all kinds. You can usually find me casually teaming up with my squad to play the most random games ever. Oh, and I also manage to write about those sometimes
