Legends grace the WWE ring at Crown Jewel to bring back nostalgia
WWE completed its lucrative contract with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a 10-year contract. Priced at $50 million per show, Vince McMahon and team prepare the show to impress the Saudi crowd.
In previous iterations, many wrestling legends made it to the show as the oil-rich nation saw their favorite superstars for the first time. Some of the biggest names include The Undertaker, Kane, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Hulk Hogan.

The 2018 show featured Brothers of Destruction against the DX in a tag team match as the main event of the show. Though it featured the best in the business, it turned out to be a dud, as the superstars involved were well past their prime age. The lackluster performance made many regret the match and made it a forgettable one.
While Goldberg also appeared in the same show, he had a memorable return against Bobby Lashley. However, he too suffered from old age and fatigue when he faced The Undertaker the next year. This time, the two icons feuded in a singles match that is best remembered for the deadly botches. Rumors are that Goldberg might make a special appearance to announce his retirement match.
The Rated R-Superstar, Edge has a different story when he fought Seth Rollins in an epic singles match in 2021. Apart from the names mentioned, other wrestling legends have also appeared in the event, but not as performers.

In 2019, Hulk Hogan was joined by his former WWE mate and 2-time Hall of Famer Ric Flair. They took on each other in a traditional 5 on 5 tag team match style, reminiscent of the iconic Survivor series match.
