Life was completely different in the Fallout universe before the Great War. The nuclear bombing of Earth almost wiped out humanity and we can still see the remains of some skeletons from before the war. While some skeletons are displayed as the aftermath of the war, some pre-date humans too.

Across the maps of the Fallout games, players can spot skeletons of humans, animals, dinosaurs, and even the Ubari civilization. Considering the games are set over a century from now, the newest skeletons on the list date over 2 centuries while the older ones go back to the days of the T-Rex.

His remains serve as a reminder of humanity’s ambitious journey into space before the destruction caused by the Great War.

2. John Pitcairen

Adjacent to Bell’s exhibit, the museum houses the skeletal remnants of British officer John Pitcairen, a relic from the American Revolutionary War. Pitcairen’s bones tell a tale of conflict from a time that pre-dates the Great Fallout War. This skeleton draws a connection to a time long before the nuclear devastation that reshaped the Fallout universe.

3. Whale Skeletons

The Whale Skeletons in Fallout 76 are a mystery within itself. These whale skeletons have an unusual head with a much wider bone structure.

It is still unclear what era are the whales in Fallout 76, but one thing is for sure, these skeletons pre-date the era of modern humans before the war.

4. Ubari King

Venturing into the Rub’ al Khali desert, the Fallout universe unfolds another mystery with the discovery of Lorenzo Cabot. Supposedly predating human civilization, these unearthly remains deepen the mystery of Fallout’s lore.

The body is said to belong to a king from the Ubari civilization who is said to have existed on Earth before humans took over.

5. Tyrannosaurus Rex in the Museum of History

Within the Museum of History, opposite the statue of a Woolly Mammoth, the skeletal structure of a Tyrannosaurus Rex stands as a pre-war exhibit.

The characters within the Fallout universe have always liked dinosaurs with a model of one being used to attract customers to a model.  So, it was not surprising to find a Dinosaur skeleton that pre-dates humans in the game.
