The challenges involve manipulating switches, navigating platforms, and overcoming obstacles to free and collect these miniature mechanical Marios. The game is a modern remake of the original Mario Vs. Donkey Kong from the Gameboy Advanced era.

2. Princess Peach: Showtime!

Arriving on March 22, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch, Princess Peach: Showtime! ventures into the adventure genre. The game revolves around Princess Peach and a group of Toads attending a play at the Sparkle Theater.

Unexpectedly, the Wicked Grape and Sour Bunch emerge to ruin the fun, which makes Peach, assisted by a new companion named Stella, combat them using a magical ribbon to save both the day and the play.

3. Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD

Set for release on September 30, 2024, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD brings a revamped world of ghostly thrills to the Nintendo Switch. Serving as a remaster of the 2013 3DS game Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, players join Luigi with his good old reliable Poltergust 5000.

Together, they navigate multiple mansions, solving puzzles, capturing new ghosts, and completing missions for Professor E. Gadd. Use the strobe bulb in the Poltergust to stun ghosts and take them out using the powerful vacuum.

4. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Scheduled for release on December 31, 2024, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door represents Nintendo’s commitment to remastering classic games. This installment, originally launched on the Nintendo GameCube in 2004, is getting a modern makeover for the Nintendo Switch.

The game features a unique, paper-like art style that fans have grown to love since the Gamecube days. And by popular demand, Nintendo obliged. The game has a new look that introduces interesting paper mechanics to change the feeling of newer games and give fans a classic 2D experience.

5. Metroid Prime 4

The highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4 for the Nintendo Switch has been in development limbo. The game was first announced at E3 2017. Bandai Namco Studios was to work on the game, but difficulties during the production led to a restart in development with Retro Studios taking the helm.

The game falls in the Metroidvania genre and so far, there is no official release date announced for the game. The last update we got from Nintendo was from January 2019 when we developers were changed. And so far, there is not much known about this highly anticipated release.
