Despite being over a year from its release date, GTA 6 remains one of the most talked-about games. And it’s no surprise that Rockstar Games has that effect on gamers; not many game developers can make open-world sandbox games like they do. GTA 6 is going to introduce players to a world of new advancements in gaming. They always release their games with a bunch of never-before-seen new gameplay features.

Being the successor to GTA V, one of the most successful games of all time, naturally fans have very high expectations from it. To match up to that, here are some of the most wanted features that fans wish to see in GTA 6.

A Better Hunting Mechanic

Hunting was introduced to Rockstar Games’ titles via Red Dead Redemption. That game made great use of this by giving people a way to complete a bunch of hunting challenges and unlock new stuff such as costumes. GTA 5 had hunting too, but it was mostly limited to killing an animal and just sending its picture to a buyer. Red Dead Redemption 2 actually took things way further.

This game allowed players to hunt animals, skin them, complete challenges, hunt legendary animals, and use their skins to craft new stuff. This is seen even outside of Rockstar games, in titles like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. In RDR2, you cannot hunt using normal bullets; you need extra small arrows for smaller prey. This is the kind of detail fans want in GTA 6. This might get a bit complicated as the game itself is set in modern times, but Rockstar Games can find a way if they want to do it.

More mysteries to unlock

Rockstar Games are masters of creating mysteries in their open-world games. Fans can uncover a lot of things if they just explore. Take Jolene Cranley-Evans’ Ghost in GTA 5 as an example. She appeared during a specific time in the game, and when players approached her, she vanished. Bigfoot, aliens, and many other such things have appeared in these games over the years. The Ghost of Agnes Dowd in RDR 2 is similarly unsettling.

Things like these bring a new level of depth to a game world. Making game worlds larger is always a good thing, but making sure they are full of oddities makes them worth exploring.

Ability to buy large properties

Buying a business and getting a weekly payout is an awesome thing. But a point comes in every game when players simply run out of stuff to spend money on. Fans suggest Rockstar Games should rather let them purchase massive mansions in GTA 6. This was not a feature in RDR 2 for obvious reasons, and players could not do this in GTA 5 either. But GTA 6 supposedly has the greatest number of buildings that players can enter; why not make use of them?

It would be great if players had an expanded number of safe locations around the map. It would also be a good thing because players can store their weapons in these locations, given how it is being said that now players can only carry two weapons with them.

Bring back some discarded weapons

Some players have suggested that they would be very interested in using some brutal new weapons in this game. Some are asking Rockstar Games to bring back the flamethrower. Imagine charring enemies or setting vehicles on fire wiht these. And the other weapon everyone wants is the chainsaw. Yep, this means they want to dismember characters left and right.

These two weapons were previously seen in games like San Andreas and Vice City. It would be interesting to see how all the critics react if Rockstar Games decided to take this request seriously.

Better Bounty Hunting Missions

Bounty hunting is an inseparable part of Red Dead Redemption titles. And they have much detail too; players have so many ways to complete those bounties. GTA 5 had bounty-hunting missions too, but fell short because there was no lasso in that game.

It would be great if Rockstar Games found a way for players to bind bounty-hunting targets.

A more detailed underwater world

GTA 5 had missions that took players under the sea. Sometimes they searched for nuclear waste; other times, they searched for pieces of evidence for a suspect. There was not much to be done there; if players even decided to take a dive, it was all just scenery and not much else.

Maybe this time the sea can have more details? Maybe there could be a way to fish, or maybe there could be a bunch of missions that allowed players to hunt lost ships and treasures, or something similar.

If Rockstar Games is listening and if it wants to make its newly designed world more interesting, maybe it should take these pointers to heart. Who knows, they might already have these things in this game, and fans just have to wait for the game.
