Charlie Woods has opted to venture into professional golf. Despite Tiger Woods‘ GOAT status with 15 majors and 82 tour wins, Woods Jr. struggles to match his father’s legacy. Amidst this, did Woods try to help his son? It seems like he did, and will continue to do so. Despite TW giving his best, it appears the community has a different opinion about his efforts.

While Charlie tries to pursue his golfing ambitions, he faced criticism from the community, with some commenting, “He ain’t ready,” during his initial attempts at the first U.S. Open 18-hole local qualifier and the Cognizant Classic in February. Following that, his father took another step to validate his son amidst Charlie’s community criticism.

Moreover, a recent post on Reddit’s r/ProGolf shared an amusing anecdote where Woods joked about his son, noting that he listens to him about golf but not “anything else.” Many began to believe that this was another step from Father Woods, hoping to assist his son in his career.

However, other enthusiasts went further, criticizing not Woods’ efforts but his personal life choices. As the post gained attention on social media, the comment section quickly filled with criticisms directed towards TW.

What do fans have to say about Tiger Woods?

The post highlighted Charlie’s attentiveness to his father’s game advice, given Woods’ legendary career and numerous wins. However, as Woods jokingly mentioned, the 15-year-old seems to only listen to that aspect.

This fan went a step further and commented, “Haha he’s smart not to listen about your life choices!” implying that the only pertinent advice from Woods might be related to the game, as the golfer’s personal choices, particularly his multiple relationships, are questionable. Woods was married to his first wife, Elin Nordegren, for almost six years before they divorced in 2010.

While noting that this fan shared a similar sentiment, “lol I wouldn’t take tigers life advice either” it could potentially allude to Woods’ dating history. Despite attempting relationships five times, beginning with Elin Nordegren, and having several girlfriends. The pro fell short in managing those.

While some comments were critical, one fan shared their parenting experience, expressing the satisfaction of a child beginning to heed their parent’s advice and teachings. They further emphasized, “For Charlie, he knows there’s nobody else on the planet more qualified than his old man” considering Woods’ remarkable career in the game of golf.

This fan shared their sentiments, indicating, “It’s probably a good thing he doesn’t listen to ALL of Tiger’s ideas,” highlighting the benefit of Woods Jr. not following all of the golfer’s ideas. This consideration is particularly relevant given TW’s personal setbacks, especially concerning his family, outside of the game.

This fan expressed criticism towards Woods, bluntly stating, “He’s a piece of sh** that’s good at golf, so his son is exercising some sound judgement” By directly labeling the golfer in this manner, the fan implied that Charlie Woods’ decision to only heed his father’s advice regarding golf is the wisest choice for the 15-year-old. The post receives mixed reactions, with most being negative towards the GOAT.
