The Spanish golfer, Jon Rahm, rose to the occasion and stole the green jacket from Brooks Koepka, who finished second. He was like a black sheep, as everyone was expecting Koepka to grab the victory at Augusta. Generally, the week following Masters is for relaxation, but this season is telling another tale. Rahm is playing at the RBC Heritage, and he is undoubtedly tired. However, he wants to stick to his comment and fulfill his responsibility as a golfer towards his fans. But there are many challenges for him. He talked to CBS Sports and spilled the beans about the Harbour Town Golf Links.

The challenges in front of Jon Rahm

The Spaniard is trying his best not to disappoint golf fans. Earlier, Rahm said that he was trying to play his best because the fans had paid their hard-earned money to watch him play live at Harbour Town Golf Links. Therefore, instead of resting, he chose not to withdraw from the game and give his best. But many more challenges on the golf course are stopping him from fulfilling his responsibility.

Talking to Amanda Balionis Renner, he revealed the challenges of the golf course. He said, “You know, potting shouldn’t be the hardest, and they’re not the most love greens out here, but a tee to green is definitely very, very demanding, especially if the wind picks up with the big trees that we have here.” He explains that the swirling winds are affecting the shots a lot. However, it depends on the shot a golfer is playing.

According to him, every shot is going to turn out in a different way than it should. The Masters winner explained that the viewers watching the sport on TV will feel like “What the heck just happened there,” because of the winds. It is just “wind doing funny things and the swirls making it difficult.” However, he hopes to play well, do his job, and keep hitting good iron shots as he did early on the first three holes. Rahm believes that there is no hiding, and this is how the course is.

Is the PGA Tour pro still tired?

Rahm’s Masters celebration went on for many hours, and he lost the track of time. After winning Masters and celebrating, he was super exhausted for the first 72 hours, as he said in the interview before. He told Amanda that earlier in the week he was tired. Rahm confessed he barely had energy. But now, “I’ve been feeling better and better.” He made better swings, and he hopes to play a low score.
