The 2022 Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America is no stranger to health struggles. Last July, the English golfer disclosed her diagnosis of “severe” attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). And after a four-week hiatus due to mental struggles, Hull made an impressive return, tying for second place at the US Women’s Open. Once again, the English National has given a health update after a recent string of health hiccups.

Today, the two-time LPGA Tour winner with @hopebarnett shared her recent offseason challenges through an Instagram post, spanning about “five weeks.” Returning from Grant Thornton, she battled “COVID for ten days” and “then I was in hospital from basically Sunday to Tuesday this week and found out I had Salmonella food poisoning” and underwent “antibiotic treatment.”

While admitting she hadn’t prepared as desired, the 2016 CME Group Tour Championship winner maintained optimism and eagerness to resume her golfing journey.

Despite a double bogey on the par-3 sixth, Hull bounced back with an eagle on No. 9, mitigating the impact of the setback. However, in this year’s HGV Championship, the six-time Ryder Cupper has had a rather mild start to the event.
