Being part of influencer culture, many women tend to take a dig at the former golfer. They attack and try to pull her down. However, Spiranac has always defended her, and the comments by Spain got on her nerves. The internet influencer said she was upset that Spain pointed her out for becoming famous by taking off her clothes on Instagram. Quoting Spain, the golf beauty said, “she said on the Golf Digest cover that I got, that I only got it because I take my clothes off on Instagram.”

Spiranac found it funny how Spain being a woman, tried to undermine another woman. It was not appropriate to be a woman journalist, then say something like that. She said, “it’s kind of funny that she’s all for women and yet she turns around.” The ex golfer also pointed out that she does a lot for the golf world and sports, which people do not talk about. However, it is not her fault that people overlook her golf services. However, this all started because Golf Digest chose Spiranac on the cover page of the May 2016 issue.
How did Spain react to Spiranac’s calling out?
Spain addressed the calling out and cleared that it was the beef with golf digest, not the ex-golfer, and she did not have any hard feelings. The ESPN personality accepted that she misspoke, and apologized. Post that, she has been defending Spiranac. In a tweet, she wrote, “My beef was w/ Golf Digest, not her. I apologized for misspeaking & have since defended her.”
