John Daly Opens Up on Golfing Experience With a Former POTUS: ‘It’s Funny, Literally He’d Carry a Lot of Golf Balls in His Pocket’

John Daly is making the headlines after winning the 2021 PNC Championship. His performance at the father-son/daughter event proved that he has still got all the shots in his arsenal. Moreover, Daly’s specialty is the driving distance he manages off the tee; for which people gave him the nickname “Long John.” But driving distance is not the only specialty he has.

Daly is widely popular for playing golf with celebrities as he has played games with four former Presidents of America.

In an interview, Daly discussed how former President Bill Clinton plays golf. He said, “It’s like every time he’d hit one, he wouldn’t look at it; He’d already thrown another ball down.”

He added, “it’s funny, literally he’d carry a lot of golf balls in his pocket.” John explained that the former President didn’t play to win, but he played because he loves the game.

John Daly ranked former US Presidents from best to worst

Daly has played golf with four of the former presidents of the United States; George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump. Since he has played with all four of them, Daly knows how good they are in the game. According to him, Bush Sr. was the best among all.

He said, “Bush Sr. was probably the best that I played with.” Although he thinks Trump and George W. Bush are talented players, but they are not as good as Bush Sr.

Although he couldn’t decide the middle order between Trump and Bush Jr., Daly sure had a clear idea of who held the last place. He said, “Clinton couldn’t play at all.

 Daly’s recent victory in the PNC Championship

Daly is one of the best golfers in the United States of America. He has two major championships in his trophy cabinet and was always known as the ‘Wild One.’ But the recent events have changed the perspective of people; Daly and his son won the 2021 PNC Championship ahead of Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie.

At the 2021 PNC Championship, despite scoring 11 consecutive birdies, the Woods couldn’t win over John Daly and Joh Daly II; the Daly-duo scored 27 under, which is the lowest in the tournament’s history. The tournament recorded 2.3 million viewers, which is 200,000 more than that of the Open Championship.
