According to reports, the Italian company will team up with an Indian EV maker Kinetic Green Energy to make the golf carts. The sales will apparently begin next year.

The pandemic has affected both companies last year, with their revenues dropping really low. Kinetic earned 30 percent less than what it did in 2019. On the other hand, Lamborghini also saw a dip of almost 11% . Both companies coming together will be profitable, as the golf cart market is a wonderful opportunity to boost revenue.

Both companies have their own plus points that will benefit the project. Lamborghini manufactures cars that go 200 miles an hour, while Kinetic Green works on e-scooters and three-wheeled electric vehicles.

Together, their golf carts will have a unique touch to them. Kinetic Green Chief Executive Officer Sulajja Firodia Motwani referred to the carts as “beautifully differentiated” when speaking to Bloomberg Television.

“The golf cart market is a $3 billion market, and it is mainly dominated by markets in North America, the Middle East and parts of Asia where there’s a lot of tourism,” Motwani said. “So, this project of ours, this particular arm of Kinetic Green, would be focused on the global markets.”

The carts will be designed in Italy and manufactured in India.
