Destiny does not seem to be on Tiger Woods’s side. What was supposed to be his legendary comeback in his inaugural feature in an official event of the PGA Tour in 2024 has drastically turned into a culmination of back-to-back health problems. After months of spending time fixing the issues with his ankle, his back has now taken center stage at the 2024 Genesis Invitational.

Posting a video of Tiger Woods walking, the PGA Tour wrote on X, “Good morning, Tiger.” This video went viral in the golf world. Fans of the legend were left in a state of shock after spotting their favorite golfer struggling with his health.

After having a first day full of struggles at the signature event, the tournament host was seen limping on the second day. The 48-year-old was also spotted wearing a leg sleeve to provide adequate warmth for his injured leg.

Woods confirmed on Thursday and said, “My back was spasming the last couple holes, and it was locking up. I came down and it didn’t move and I presented hosel first and shanked it.” Woods has now withdrawn from three of his last six tournaments since the 2022 Masters and only completed 72 holes on the PGA Tour twice (including at Riviera last season).

After all, the back spasms he had to suffer a day before that led to him witnessing the shank were not an easy pill to swallow for the 82-time PGA Tour winner. This injury update has left the golf world in shock.

Fans were quick to react to Tiger Woods’s morning walk on the Riviera. While some of the fans were left in awe of his never-give-up attitude and praised him for his efforts, others were seemingly concerned about his choice to continue at the event. Fans on X were quick to notice that the 15-time Major winner was hurting, and was looking “painful.”

One of the fans with a more positive outlook on the matter tried to encourage the GOAT by complimenting him for still having the “swag.”
