The dates are getting closer for the prestigious Ryder Cup. Both the European and US teams members are now fully revealed. Though controversies continue to plague in regard to the selection of certain players through the captain’s picks.

Zach Johnson’s decision to name Justin Thomas to the US Ryder Cup squad has sparked debate in the golf community. His game this year has not been impressive. Though fans doubt Thomas’ pick will be beneficial for the US team, the two-time major champion is putting in the hard yards. This year has been a rough ride for JT. He missed more cuts than top finishes this year. Even in major championships, he has had underwhelming performances missing the cut on three occasions.

A lot of people are of the opinion that players like Lucas Glover and Cameron Young would have been a better choice. Be that as it may, to make his game more assertive in the Ryder Cup, Thomas has made some crucial calls.

According to Todd Lewis in Golf Today, Thomas has parted ways with his putting coach John Graham. Graham has been working with Thomas since December 2020. ”Thomas is now looking to find the answer to his putting woes by himself,” said Lewis. In addition, he is working with his father, who is JT’s swing coach as ”JT wants to own his swing.” 

Todd Lewis has also stated that he is unsure as to whether Thomas’ split with Graham is permanent. We’ll have to wait and see how Thomas will benefit from this move. But there is no doubt, the 15-time PGA Tour champion is working tirelessly to regain his form.

JT has been working hard to improve his game. He shared slow-motion footage of his explosive swing on Instagram. In it, JT makes a strong downswing to the amazement of many. JT captioned his video: “An amazing 2 weeks @thetroubadourclub getting back into the grind. Been working hard on my swing and in the gym to use this rare off time well!”
